The Hobson Foundation offers financial support and resource links to writers who want to make a difference in the world.  Our primary goal is to give YOU the tools to get published.  With a spiraling downturn in our economy, we are also feeling the crunch here at the Hobson Foundation.  We've closed our grants for this year (2009), and  many of our board members have had to resign in order to turn their attention to more pressing areas (i.e. survival).  Currently, we are looking for new board members who have a background in editing/publishing and who have the time for bi-monthly meetings via email/chat/phone.  If you're interested, please feel to email us with a current resume (which includes your contact info).  


Do you have something you really want to write about, a place you really want to go to research an article, or perhaps you just need a little bit more time off of work so you can write that best seller?  If you have a dream…we have your grant!

Due to current economic strains, we are not currently offering any grants for 2009.  Please check back in 2010.

Our Annual "People's Choice"  Dream Grant Award

Although we were only able to offer two Dream Grant awards in 2006, we strongly felt that number was just too low for the large amount of ambitious applications we received.  That gave us the idea to try something new.  We decided to give each and every one of YOU the opportunity to help us raise enough money to offer ONE MORE DREAM COME TRUE opportunity to an aspiring writer.  With votes costing $5 each, in 2006 you helped another dream come true!  We'll  be offering these again, once our annual dream grant is back in action!
